What information do we collect?

Our website uses Google Analytics to improve visitor experiences by seeing what pages and features are most frequently used. Google's privacy policy, which covers Google Analytics, can be found at http://www.google.com/intl/en/policies/.

We collect information from you when you register for an account on www.tbcdonors.org, fill out the general contact form, enter a contest on www.thebloodcenter.org, or when registering for a seminar. You may, however, visit our Websites anonymously.

Financial information

Any payment information collected, which is only collected for seminar registration and financial donations made through the Websites, is never stored or retained in any way by The Blood Center. The information is protected using industry standard SSL/TLS encryption and is transmitted in an encrypted form to USA ePay, The Blood Center's chosen payment processor. The Blood Center does not store any payment information from you with the exception of your name, payment confirmation number from USA ePay, and the amount paid (for financial donations only) for accounting purposes.

  • To submit payment for registration for one of our seminars using our Websites

We offer the user of a secure server, which is mandatory throughout all of the Websites. All supplied payment information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) with Transport Layer Security (TLS) technology and then transmitted directly and securely to USA ePay for processing. USA ePay's privacy policy can be viewed at http://www.usaepay.com/privacy.htm. After a transaction, your payment information will not be stored on The Blood Center's servers.
