Increased patient use of O+POSITIVE blood has caused an increased need for donors. Donate now!
The Blood Center's High School Heroes Program is designed to recognize and celebrate our high school donors and their service to the community through blood donation. If your High School or school organization takes pride in instilling a love for serving their community, leadership, and selfless service to others in it's students, then this may be the perfect program for you!
Students can earn a Red Cord or lapel pin and Certificate for graduation or other recognition ceremonies by donating blood at least 4 times during their High School Career or 2 times during their Senior year. Donations must be made with The Blood Center at any blood drive or donor center. Red cords or lapel pins may be worn at any school approved ceremony.
The Blood Center developed the Life Saving Scholarship program to help recognize school who actively participate with blood drives.
